Bio- About Brett Fischer
I’ve been around business and marketing my entire life. My father ran a successful small business and observing how he approached the daily grind throughout my younger years taught me a lot about what it took to be a great businessman.
While my dad was a fantastic grass-roots marketer and salesman, I’ve transitioned into the ever-emerging digital marketing and media space throughout my time as a student at UMD, and moving forward in to the marketing and advertising industry at several high profile agencies in the Twin Cities. While at UMD, I held several internships and practical marketing positions that allowed me to develop these skills in ways no classroom could. I also devoted my time to the UMD Men’s basketball team as a volunteer manager for four years, following my earliest passion for the game of basketball.
My first experience with digital media came at Periscope, one of the top full service, indie agencies in the country. During my tenure I helped lead the paid media strategy and hands-on-keyboard execution for a wide array of clients and learned invaluable lessons about everything from tactical platform execution, to managing client relationships.
Most recently, I’ve started a position at Nina Hale, a leading performance media agency where I specialize in paid search & paid social media execution.
In my free time, I freelance as a digital marketing strategist and enjoy sports and a cold beer.
